Unconventional AI launches oscillator-based image generation models

Unconventional AI Inc. has unveiled the Un-0 model series, a neural network architecture designed to run on oscillators rather than standard transistor-based circuits. The company, backed by $475 million including investment from Jeff Bezos, says the technology could dramatically improve AI power efficiency. The series includes six models ranging from 1,024 to 16,384 simulated oscillators, trained on open-source image datasets. Benchmarks show Un-0 matches the quality of leading conventional image generation methods at their initial release, with the company eyeing future efficiency gains.
