TypeSafe raises $870M at $7.5B valuation
TypeSafe Inc., creator of the Jev AI model, has raised $870 million at a $7.5 billion valuation, led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Sequoia Capital and DCVC. The round comes less than a month after Jev launched and has already been adopted by roughly a third of the Fortune 500. Unlike standard LLMs, Jev generates structured output directly, supporting yes/no answers, list selections, and scored responses with confidence ratings. TypeSafe claims Jev processes requests in under 700 milliseconds, making it up to 200 times faster and 100 times more cost-efficient than some frontier models. Proceeds will fund new models and enterprise features.
