TwelveLabs Raises $100M for Video AI Intelligence
TwelveLabs has secured $100 million in Series B funding, co-led by NEA and NAVER Ventures, with participation from Amazon, Index Ventures and others. The raise brings total funding to over $207 million and will support the company's push beyond video understanding toward what it calls holistic machine intelligence. The startup's flagship models, Marengo and Pegasus, natively process video rather than relying on screenshot-based workarounds used by traditional LLMs. As part of the deal, TwelveLabs deepened its AWS partnership, committing to optimize workloads on Amazon Trainium chips and launching new models on AWS first.
