Trump Launches New AI Super Intelligence Task Force
President Trump announced the formation of a Super Intelligence Force, tasked with coordinating federal efforts to keep America leading in AI, which Trump has rebranded as "super intelligence." National intelligence director Jay Clayton will chair the group, with FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson, Undersecretary of War Emil Michael, and OPM Director Scott Kupor as vice chairs. The task force has 120 days to produce a report on AI risks and opportunities, and its charter calls for responding to AI-enabled threats while avoiding overregulation that could stifle innovation.
