Teen-led Ghost AI raises $11M for privacy PC
Ghost AI, founded by 19-year-old CEO Zain Javaid, has raised $11 million led by Andreessen Horowitz to build Core, a dedicated home computer for running personal AI agents locally. Core packs an Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 SFF Blackwell GPU, ships with open-source models including Qwen and Gemma, and stores all data on-device with user-held encryption keys. Priced at $3,499, the first batch sold out within hours. Ghost argues that AI agents handling sensitive personal data should not run on third-party cloud infrastructure.
