SolarWinds unveiled Avior, a standalone agentic AI system designed to handle first-line IT operations for enterprises. Built on a model pairing probabilistic AI with deterministic execution, Avior uses predefined goals and approval controls drawn from 25 years of IT experience to ensure consistent, auditable outcomes. It runs on the SolarWinds Platform, connects to third-party systems via Model Context Protocol, and handles tasks like alert consolidation, configuration drift detection, and stale inventory cleanup. Autonomy is tiered by risk, with dangerous actions requiring human approval. All actions are logged, rollback is supported, and customer data is never used for model training.
