Snowflake Launches Cortex AI Gateway for Agent Governance

Snowflake introduced Cortex AI Gateway, a centralized control layer for enterprises to connect, govern, and monitor AI agents across models, tools, and internal systems. Built on its Natoma Labs acquisition, the gateway supports over 100 MCP servers and manages access policies for both Snowflake-native and third-party agents from platforms like Claude Code and Cursor. The gateway logs all agent activity end-to-end, tracks token consumption, and lets teams enforce spending limits. Launch integrations with Aembit, SailPoint, Saviynt, Linx Security, and 1Password address credential and identity gaps. Cortex AI Gateway is due in public preview soon.
