Sentra raises $150M to govern AI agent data access
Data security startup Sentra has raised $150 million in a Series C round led by Capital One Ventures to expand its platform controlling what AI agents can access inside corporate data stores. The company reported over 300% business growth in the past year. Sentra classifies enterprise data at rest, maps identities and permissions for people, service accounts and AI agents, removes stale high-risk data, and enforces least-privilege access. Agents reaching sensitive data unexpectedly are flagged and can have permissions stripped automatically. All analysis runs inside the customer's own environment. Total funding now exceeds $250 million since the company's 2021 founding.
