Seltz Raises $12.5M for AI Agent Search Infrastructure
Agentic search startup Seltz Inc. has secured $12.5 million in seed funding, led by Speedinvest and B Capital, to build search infrastructure optimized for AI agents rather than humans. Founded by NYU computer science PhD Antonio Mallia, the company has built its entire search stack from scratch, including crawlers, index, and ranking systems.
Unlike traditional search engines, Seltz extracts structured evidence from text, tables, and images that human-focused platforms miss. The company faces well-funded rivals including Parallel Web Systems and Exa Labs, but already has a foundational lab under contract and multiple enterprise pilots underway.
