ScrollEd turns textbooks into TikTok-style feeds
ScrollEd, a Palo Alto startup, has built an app that converts textbooks and PDFs into vertical scroll feeds resembling TikTok or Instagram Reels. Content appears as AI-generated video, audio, text, or quizzes, with swiping sideways allowing users to explore topics more deeply.
Founded by Stanford and UPenn students Utsav Gupta and Rebecca Neff, ScrollEd targets schools, corporate training programs, and individuals. It uses a freemium model with paid subscriptions and institutional licenses. The startup is launching its consumer product at TechCrunch Disrupt, October 13-15 in San Francisco.
