Satlyt raises $8M for satellite AI software
Satlyt Inc., founded in 2024 by former SpaceX Starlink product manager Rama Afullo, has closed an $8 million seed round led by Non Sibi Ventures. The startup's AI platform enables satellites equipped with GPUs to process data onboard, reducing the volume of information that must be transmitted to Earth. A satellite built by Momentus Inc. running Satlyt's software cut telemetry beamed to Earth by over 64%. A second Satlyt-powered satellite is launching today on a SpaceX rocket for NASA testing. The company is also developing tools to distribute workloads across multiple satellites.
