Rubrik Expands Google Cloud Security and AI Governance

Rubrik announced two new integrations with Google Cloud at the Google Cloud Next conference. The first pairs Rubrik Security Cloud with Google Cloud SQL, delivering immutable, automated backups with ransomware protection and cross-region recovery for managed PostgreSQL databases. The second brings Rubrik Agent Cloud to Google's Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The Gemini integration provides a governance layer for autonomous AI agents, featuring auto-discovery, real-time guardrails, and a unique Agent Rewind capability that lets administrators reverse destructive agent actions. The announcements come as Gartner predicts 40% of enterprise applications will integrate task-specific AI agents by end of 2026.
