Ropedia Raises $22M for Robot Training Data

Singapore-based Ropedia has secured $22 million in Pre-Series A funding to scale its real-world data collection infrastructure for embodied AI and robotics development. The company addresses a critical shortage of diverse, high-quality training data by capturing human activity through its lightweight head-mounted wearable device called HOMIE, which records synchronized multimodal data across four cameras. Ropedia processes and annotates the captured footage into model-ready datasets for robotics companies. The funding will support mass production of a next-generation HOMIE device, targeting 10,000 units, while expanding its US presence. The company already supplied over half the training data for the Allen Institute for AI's MolmoMotion model.
