Recursive Superintelligence Launches With $650M Funding
Recursive Superintelligence Inc. has launched with $650 million in funding, valuing the startup at $4.65 billion. The round was led by Alphabet's GV fund and Greycroft, with participation from Nvidia and AMD's venture arms. The company was founded by former Salesforce Chief Scientist Richard Socher.
The San Francisco and London-based startup aims to build AI that can improve its own code, training infrastructure, and auxiliary programs through automated scientific discovery. Recursive hopes this self-improving system will eventually match human scientists in fields including physics, chemistry, and pre-clinical biology.
