QuickSight Adds Compact Hierarchy Filter for Dashboards

Amazon QuickSight has introduced a hierarchy filter that lets dashboard authors replace multiple independent filter controls with a single compact control supporting up to five levels of drill-down. Instead of displaying all filter options at once, readers navigate a logical path such as Region to Country to City, with each selection narrowing the next level's choices. Authors can configure the filter by adding fields in the Filters pane, arranging them from broadest to most detailed. Readers can also mix levels, selecting an entire country alongside a single city in one control.
