Portnox adds Microsoft Defender to control AI agents

Portnox has integrated Microsoft Defender into its access control platform, joining existing integrations with CrowdStrike and SentinelOne. Any of the three can now trigger automatic enforcement actions, including quarantining or cutting access to AI agents and human users when a threat or compliance violation is detected. The move targets a growing security gap around nonhuman identities. AI agents operate continuously at machine speed, yet 54% of enterprises have reported confirmed agent security incidents and 69% admit to sharing credentials across agents. Portnox positions its platform as a real-time kill switch that acts at the network layer before identity providers finish revoking access.
