Peak XV raises Surge seed cap to $5M
Peak XV Partners has increased its per-startup investment ceiling through its Surge seed platform from $3 million to $5 million, unveiling its 12th cohort of 18 startups. The firm invested more than $50 million across the batch, which has collectively raised over $90 million in seed funding. Managing Director Rajan Anandan cited a higher bar for Series A fundraising and more capital-intensive deeptech companies as drivers. The cohort spans AI, robotics, space, healthcare, fintech, and music, with founders from San Francisco to Sydney. Since 2019, Surge has backed more than 180 startups whose top 10 companies now generate over $1 billion in combined annual revenue.
