Pangram Raises $9M to Fight AI Content

New York startup Pangram has raised $9 million led by Menlo Ventures to expand its AI content detection tools. The funding coincides with the launch of Pangram 4, a text detection model claiming over 99% accuracy, and a new AI image detection model currently in research preview. Pangram's technology trains on tens of millions of human documents and their AI-generated equivalents to identify stylistic differences. Clients include Substack, Quora, schools, and publishers. Users can access the tool via a $20 monthly subscription or Chrome extension, which flags AI content in real time across platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
