Palo Alto Networks Secures Autonomous AI Agents
Palo Alto Networks is addressing the unique security risks posed by autonomous AI agents through its Prisma AIRS platform, integrated with Google Cloud environments. Unlike chatbots, agents can invoke tools, retain memory, and act independently, making traditional input-output security insufficient.
The company's runtime controls inspect tool calls, model activity, and agent-to-agent interactions in real time. A new integration with Google Cloud's Agent Gateway targets Model Context Protocol traffic, while a marketplace-available model-scanning agent helps organizations verify AI models before deployment.
