Oracle Bakes Security Into Database for Agentic AI

As agentic AI floods enterprise environments, Oracle argues that security and resilience must be built directly into the database rather than layered on at the perimeter. Oracle SVP Ashish Ray warns that autonomous AI workloads cannot tolerate bottlenecks, making inherent system immunity essential. Oracle's new AI Database 26ai introduces two high-availability tiers: Platinum, reducing failover to 20 seconds, and Diamond, offering near-instant recovery in zero to three seconds. These capabilities are enabled by kernel-level optimizations and are available by default upon upgrade, with consistent architecture spanning on-premises, Oracle Cloud, and third-party environments.
