OpenAI launches workspace tools rivaling Microsoft Office

At its DevDay conference in San Francisco, OpenAI announced several workplace features for ChatGPT that resemble a full office suite. These include Spaces, a shared collaborative workspace with AI agent support; Pages, a word processor built for human and AI collaboration akin to Google Docs or Microsoft Word; and Slides, a presentation tool created through conversation that is set to roll out in coming weeks. The moves put OpenAI in direct competition with Microsoft, its longtime partner, as both companies race to capture the workplace software market.
