OpenAI Launches GPT-Live for Human-Like Conversations

OpenAI has released GPT-Live, a new voice system featuring two models — GPT-Live-1 and GPT-Live-1 mini — that can listen and speak simultaneously, replacing the existing Advanced Voice Mode. The update rolls out globally on iOS, Android, and ChatGPT.com, with GPT-Live-1 as the default for paid users and the mini version for free-tier users. The launch marks ChatGPT's third generation of voice technology in two years. OpenAI also plans API access for developers, signaling ambitions to make AI conversation feel less like a search engine and more like a natural human exchange.
