OpenAI Launches Always-On AI Agents Called Dots
OpenAI unveiled Dots at its DevDay conference, a set of always-on AI agents built into ChatGPT. Powered by GPT-6 Astra, each agent runs on its own cloud computer, learns user preferences, and can work across ChatGPT, Slack, and Teams with context preserved between channels. Agents handle tasks proactively, but connections are read-only when unsupervised, and consequential actions require user approval. Dots is rolling out to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium subscribers, with one agent included at no extra cost. Enterprise customers can access a beta after an administrator enables it.
OpenAI says these agents can start work before you ask.
