OpenAI Accidentally Revokes Cyber Researchers' Access

OpenAI confirmed a technical error caused multiple security researchers to lose access to its Trusted Access for Cyber (TAC) program, specifically the Daybreak Blue tier. Affected users received messages stating their identity could not be verified or their account was ineligible. All five researchers TechCrunch spoke with are based outside the U.S. and Europe, suggesting regional limitations to the issue. OpenAI has asked affected researchers to reapply and complete verification again to restore access.
