Obsidian Security has raised an $85 million Series D round, reaching a $1.1 billion valuation, led by Crescent Cove Advisor with Greylock Partners and Menlo Ventures participating. The funding targets the growing security challenge of autonomous AI agents accessing corporate data through non-human identities. Over 65% of Obsidian's enterprise customers have already granted AI agents access to third-party SaaS applications. CEO Hasan Imam says traditional detection-and-response security models are inadequate for agents operating at machine speed, pushing the company toward real-time governance and runtime enforcement capabilities.
