Nvidia Vera CPU targets agentic AI bottlenecks with CoreWeave
Nvidia and CoreWeave are addressing CPU performance bottlenecks in agentic AI infrastructure, where CPUs handle tool calls, API calls, and SQL queries while GPUs power model reasoning. Nvidia's Vera CPU is designed with fast cores, high memory bandwidth, and low latency to support these workloads. CoreWeave reported a 3x improvement in Sandbox startup times using Vera CPUs. Security is managed through Nvidia's Open Agent Safety Platform, combining OpenShell runtime controls and DOCA Sentry on BlueField-4 DPUs, all housed within a single Vera Rubin tray.
