Nvidia Invests Hundreds of Millions in Data Center Startup
Nvidia has announced a partnership with Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a data center development company founded in 2024 that raised $300 million in its first year. Cloverleaf acts as a middleman between utility companies and data centers, providing power and infrastructure for site development. Nvidia's investment is reported to be several hundred million dollars for a minority stake. The deal reflects Nvidia's broader strategy of using its profits to sustain AI infrastructure growth. The chipmaker is increasingly financing the data centers that purchase its AI systems, and earlier this week also announced a $1.5 billion investment in SB Energy, an OpenAI-linked data center project in Ohio.
