NetApp Novus targets enterprise production AI data challenges
NetApp CEO George Kurian says 93% of organizations pursuing production AI cite data as their top challenge. To address this, NetApp launched its Novus architecture, which pairs an established data layer with an independently scalable metadata layer capable of delivering over 100 terabytes per second and zettabyte-scale capacity in one namespace. Kurian described the metadata layer as enabling data discovery, cataloging, governance and guardrails. He said organizations can scale from small deployments to large AI factories on a consistent platform, and called intelligent data infrastructure essential to building trusted, well-governed enterprise knowledge.
