Meta Unveils Sleek VR Glasses to Revive Metaverse
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta VR Glasses at the company's annual Connect conference, marking the company's first new VR device since 2024. Five times lighter than the Quest 3, the glasses feature a 5K micro-OLED display, Snapdragon Reality Elite processor, and IMAX Enhanced support, priced at $1,299 and launching next spring.
Meta also announced the Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, a camera-free AI wearable addressing privacy concerns over earlier models. Priced at $349, the audio-only specs support Meta's AI assistant, music, calls, and translation, offering up to 48 hours of battery life with a charging case.
