Meta releases 30B open-source AI agent model

Meta has launched Muse Glimmer, a 30-billion-parameter open-weight AI model built for autonomous agents and designed to run on consumer hardware like high-end Macs and PCs. It marks the company's return to open-source licensing after its proprietary Muse Spark release. Unlike Meta's previous Llama models, Glimmer ships under the permissive Apache 2.0 license, allowing unrestricted commercial use, modification, and redistribution. Weights are available on Hugging Face, with platform support rolling out via Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, and others.
