Meta Launches Forum App With AI Group Search

Meta has released Forum, a new iPhone app that revives Facebook Groups in a standalone experience with an integrated AI chatbot. The app automatically imports existing Facebook groups and surfaces posts in a Reddit-style feed, while allowing users to browse, post, and discover new communities. Forum's Ask tab lets users query an AI that pulls answers from Facebook group posts, similar to how Google's AI Overviews draw from Reddit content. Meta confirmed the launch as a public test, saying it regularly experiments with new products to gauge user interest.
