Meta launches enterprise AI unit, hires MongoDB CEO

Meta Platforms is launching the Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business unit offering AI services to enterprises, led by CJ Desai, formerly CEO of MongoDB. Desai joins as chief enterprise platform officer after an 11-month tenure at MongoDB, whose shares fell over 18% on news of his departure. The unit will promote Meta's Muse agent, Muse Code programming agent, Meta Business Agent for WhatsApp customer service, and the Muse API. Meta also highlighted its newest model, Muse Spark 1.3, which outperformed GPT-5.6 Sol on AutomationBench and uses 25% fewer tokens than its predecessor on coding tasks.
