The Model Context Protocol has received its largest update since Anthropic launched it, now under the stewardship of the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation. The overhaul finalizes a fully stateless architecture, strengthens authentication security, and introduces a formal 12-month deprecation policy.
