Lookout Launches AI Scam Detection for Mobile Devices

Lookout Inc. has launched Social Engineering Protection, a module that analyzes text messages and phone calls to detect AI-powered scams targeting employees. The tool covers smishing, live voice calls, voicemail, and phone number risk assessment, with voice cloning detection built in. The release addresses a gap left by email security tools, as business communication has shifted to SMS and messaging apps where corporate inspection tools have little reach. Sold as an add-on to Lookout's Mobile AI Security Platform, existing customers can activate it directly from their admin console without additional infrastructure.
