The upgrade includes a redesigned Siri that emerges from the Dynamic Island, a revamped swipe-down search powered by Google's Gemini AI, and a new standalone Siri app to rival ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. The new Siri app will feature chat history, document uploads, and photo support. Apple's strategy mirrors its Google search deal — partnering externally while building its own models.
