Judge Orders OpenAI to Hand Apple Hiring Records
A federal judge has ordered OpenAI to turn over hiring documents to Apple within days as part of Apple's trade secrets lawsuit filed in July. The court approved expedited access to interview materials related to former Apple employees who applied for OpenAI's consumer hardware and robotics roles. Apple alleges a pattern of theft, including employees downloading confidential files and coaching others on what to bring to interviews. Judge Edward Davila also approved depositions for three former Apple employees now at OpenAI, but denied broader discovery requests, leaving room for Apple to refile narrower ones.
