Intuit Rebuilt AI Architecture Twice in Four Months
Intuit VP of AI Nhung Ho revealed at VB Transform 2026 that the company scrapped and rebuilt its agent architecture twice in roughly four months. The company moved from specialist agents to a central orchestration layer, then abandoned that for a skills and tools based system.
The orchestration model failed because agents passed results in natural language, causing compounding errors at each handoff. The full second rebuild took 60 days, with a working version delivered in under 20. Ho framed the rapid iteration as the fastest path forward, not a setback.
