Healthleap Raises $38M for Hospital AI Platform
Healthleap, founded in 2022 by siblings Jemima and Josiah Meyer, has raised $38 million across a seed round co-led by Sequoia and First Round Capital and a Series A led by Hummingbird Ventures. Its AI platform plugs into hospital electronic health records, using language models to scan clinician notes alongside structured data like labs and vitals to flag patients at risk of conditions such as malnutrition and delirium. Now deployed in over 50 hospitals including Penn Medicine and Cedars-Sinai, the company reports 10x revenue growth in the past year and claims customers have seen at least a 5x return on investment.
