Hack The Box launches AI agent competency testing platform

Hack The Box has introduced AI Range Enterprise Edition, a platform that lets security teams test whether their AI agents can handle the roles they have been assigned. The company says agents often reach production after benchmark tests without being checked against their actual day-to-day work, and performance can drift as underlying models update. Each agent receives a score and pass-or-fail marks through a method called Agentic Worker Competence. The platform also tests human staff working alongside agents, with penetration tester and security operations center analyst as the first two AI-augmented roles available at launch.
