GridCare Inc. has secured $64 million in Series A funding led by Sutter Hill Ventures, with participation from investor John Doerr, National Grid, and Stanford University. The Stanford spinout offers AI-powered software that helps data center operators find faster grid connections. GridCare's platform, GridCARE Energize, identifies underutilized power infrastructure to eliminate lengthy hardware upgrades, factoring in quadrillions of grid conditions. A partnership with Portland General Electric connected five data centers, saving years of delays and unlocking 400 megawatts. The company now supports projects across a dozen markets totaling 2 gigawatts of capacity.
