Google's Gemini Robotics 2 Gives Robots Full-Body Intelligence
Google has unveiled Gemini Robotics 2, an AI system enabling robots to perform whole-body movements, advanced dexterous manipulation, and multi-robot collaboration. The system powers humanoid robots like Apptronik's Apollo 2, allowing them to walk, crouch, and handle delicate tasks such as tying knots or packing objects. The release includes three models: a full-body vision-language-action model, an embodied reasoning model for multi-step planning, and an on-device model that adapts to new robot bodies within hours. The reasoning model is now available on Google AI Studio, with other models accessible to early-access partners.
