Google Rolls Out Gemini 4 Argon With Safety Guardrails
Google is broadly releasing Gemini 4 Argon, a model designed for complex tasks in coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and science. Before public rollout, trusted cyber defenders in the Fairwind Program tested it, with Wiz using it to find a critical bug in hospital software protecting hundreds of thousands of patient records. To address misuse risks, Google built three real-time protection layers covering input screening, internal neural signal monitoring, and continuous response oversight. The model also underwent misalignment testing, including honeypot scenarios, and was trained to respect system boundaries and seek human confirmation when needed.
