Google reshuffles top AI leadership roles

Google is making major AI leadership changes, with DeepMind leader Demis Hassabis shifting to become chair of Google DeepMind and chief scientist at Alphabet. CEO Sundar Pichai announced the changes on Wednesday. Hassabis will continue leading Alphabet's Isomorphic Labs, which focuses on using AI for drug development. Koray Kavukcuoglu is expected to take on a new role as part of the broader restructuring.
