Google Play lets users run private AI-built apps
Google is introducing a feature that lets users run privately built apps on Android via Google Play without publishing them publicly. Created using Google AI Studio, these personal apps won't appear in search or listings and are visible only to their creator. The feature launches in the U.S. for users 18 and older. In coming months, users will be able to share apps with a trusted circle, and popular apps can eventually transition to a full public Play Store listing after safety review.
