Google Launches Gemini Spark AI Agent With Gmail

Google unveiled Gemini Spark at I/O 2026, a 24/7 agentic personal assistant built on Gemini models that runs on dedicated Google Cloud virtual machines. CEO Sundar Pichai described it as an AI agent that handles long-horizon tasks with minimal user oversight. Spark offers built-in integration with Gmail, Google Docs, and Workspace, letting users email the agent directly and track progress via Android Halo. It supports MCP connections for third-party services and will be available to Google AI Ultra subscribers next week.
