Google Halves Gemini Flash Price, Targets Coders

Google has launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, a new AI model focused on coding, agentic workflows, and knowledge work. It arrives just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash, with Google citing developer feedback and algorithmic improvements as drivers of the rapid release. Through the end of 2026, API pricing is halved to $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens, before doubling on January 1, 2027. The temporary discount gives enterprise developers time to assess whether the model's claimed efficiency gains translate into lower real-world operating costs.
