Google cuts free Gemini Flash and Pro access

Starting October 9th, Google will restrict free Gemini users to the Flash Lite model only. Access to the standard Flash model will require a $4.99/month Google AI Plus subscription. That paid tier is also being downgraded, as it will no longer include Gemini Pro. Google says AI Plus subscribers will be notified by email when they lose access to Pro.
