Google AI Mode Now Browses Web Side-by-Side

Google is rolling out a side-by-side browsing feature for AI Mode on Chrome desktop, allowing users to open web pages alongside its conversational search tool. The update lets users explore sites, compare details, and ask follow-up questions without losing their search context. Google also introduced a new way to search across open Chrome tabs by selecting them through a plus menu in AI Mode or the New Tab page. Users can combine tabs, images, and files to enrich their searches. Both features are currently available in the U.S., with broader rollout planned.
