Google Adds Agentic AI, Widget Coding to Android
Google unveiled a suite of Gemini-powered AI features at its Android Show: I/O Edition event. These include agentic capabilities to complete multistep tasks across apps, auto-browsing the web, filling out forms using personal data, and a Gboard dictation tool called Rambler that transcribes and cleans up speech.
Google is also letting users vibe-code their own Android widgets using natural language descriptions. Features will roll out first to Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices this summer, with broader Android availability later in the year.
