GMI Cloud Raises $663M for Global GPU Expansion
Taiwan-based neocloud GMI Cloud has raised $663 million in total funding, comprising a $223 million Series B round led by ARCHIV with participation from Nvidia, Trend Micro, and others, plus a $440 million credit facility from ChinaTrust Commercial Bank. The startup offers on-demand GPU infrastructure for AI training and inference, featuring its proprietary Cluster Engine for rapid deployment. With data centers across Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia, GMI Cloud targets APAC demand while expanding into the U.S. and Japan. Its realized ARR has grown five-fold in the past year, with its inference platform processing over 4 trillion tokens weekly.
